Saw it last night. WOW! Sweeping story. So much packed into almost 3 hours. They'll slim it down. Terrific talent. Great original music. Really will be a "must-see" as soon as it opens. "Clearly this season's Jersey Boys...but even better."
I saw it last night and I ignored the concierge that had told me it didn't have a story line. Well he was correct it had no story line. If you know the Motown story then its okay but it was really more of a review than it was a musical or a play. Very little dialogue and it was just music. Also, the audience was stuffy and had no energy. Nothing like Jersey Boys. Jersey Boys will remain as the best show in NYC
Good Music but hard to hear the actors. I would not recommend it. I saw rock of ages and Matilda in the last week and they were much more of a broadway show. Motown musical should have been s concert. I was not impressed!
