Disjointed mess. A strange production that lacked flow. We have been to many Broadway shows and this is at the top of our "let it be over scale." I loved the concept but the production, not well thought out. We so wanting it to be good because, the Cotton Club in it's day, what's not to like. Well this production is not to like. It shows that a well known Jazz great does not make a Broadway Producer. His view of the Cotton Club left us lost and confused. There were people that did not fit, like the snake guy with the dreads, and the death scene "why" and it just happened from no where. One positive note. The last five minutes when the band played by itself was great, but did we paid for it with money and agony. Do yourself a favor, save your money. We wish we saved ours.
