REVIEWS
The Book of Mormon is an excellent musical! A must see show for anyone who is a fan of South Park. The performance is very funny and has a lot of heart.
The Book of Mormon is one of the best Broadway shows I have seen. The theater is small, which means you will be able to get a full view of what is going on no matter where you are sitting. The music is also really catchy. Think Avenue Q meets South Park comedy.
The Book of Mormon is a great musical comedy. The show pokes fun of musicals, Americans, and religious fanatics. It has many elements that are similar to Avenue Q and South Park. The music is both funny and pretty catchy. It is a fun show without being too rude (in my opinion), although I wouldn't recommend it for children as there is quite a bit of profanity.
The Book of Mormon is a Broadway comedy/musical produced by some of the creators of South Park and Avenue Q. It was one of the most enjoyable Broadway comedy shows I have seen in a long time - the best I've seen since Avenue Q. The show is completely irreverent with a comedic style similar to South Park.
Even though the show was only in previews, we had difficulty getting seats. We had a coupon that we were told was no longer being honored, and that the weekend shows were all sold out. We were able to get $69 seats at the very back of the theater. Fortunately, the theater was fairly small (approx. 1000 seats) and even though we were far away, the view was still pretty decent.
The crowd at the theater was the most energetic I have been a part of. When they made the "we're starting shortly" announcement, everyone cheered.
The show followed the story of two young mormons who try to take their message of religion to Uganda. They soon discover that the people there have bigger problems to deal with. Through some humorous (and silly/irreverent) songs, the mormons not only help the people of Uganda but learn some valuable life lessons in the process. The show made for a really enjoyable evening, and remember - tomorrow is a Latter Day!
Great actors with a childish script. Not worth it.
great musical HILARIOUS some would say heartwarming 😊 and by the way... I💚ANDREW RANNELLS!!!!!!!! -i💚broadway-💋
