REVIEWS
Promises, Promises is a musical from the early 60's. It was quite the blast to the past. The story was a romantic comedy, nothing deep and a bit dated. The actors were funny - including a brief but hilarious performance by Molly Shannon. Some of the songs were songs I've heard before but didn't know that they came from this musical. Overall I thought it was a fun musical with very traditional Broadway musical singing and dancing. The sets and costumes were standard for a musical on Broadway.
It is a funny comedy, popular tunes and the typical office story. If you want a light entertaining evening .. that's the show to go see!
This IS a fun show. Missed Kristen at the performance we saw, but Sean Hayes is outstanding. Forgot that many popular songs came out of this show. Story is trite and predicable, but well done.
The show is very refreshing. It highlights how love and ambition can make you take bad decisions! Sean Hayes is amazing and Kristin Chenoweth is... so perfect!!! The soundtrack sounds very familiar which helps having a wonderful time!
